REPUBLIK PETRUK produksi TEATER KOMA yang ke-116. Lakon karya N. RIANTIARNO ini merupakan Trilogi Ketiga dari serial KISAH-KISAH REPUBLIK. Trilogi Pertama, REPUBLIK BAGONG, dipentaskan sebagai produksi ke-95, di GBB-TIM, April hingga Mei 2001. Trilogi Kedua, REPUBLIK TOGOG, digelar sebagai produksi ke-103 di Gedung Kesenian Jakarta, Juli hingga Agustus 2004. 

 

REPUBLIK PETRUK, digelar di Graha Bhakti Budaya TAMAN ISMAIL MARZUKI, 9 hingga 25 Januari 2009, setiap pukul 19.30 wib.

 

Inilah kisah tentang pemimpin dadakan yang sesungguhnya tak memiliki kapasitas sebagai pemimpin. Sebab, dia hanyalah abdi yang bertugas menghibur majikan. Dia bukan ‘Satria Piningit’ yang dirindukan banyak orang itu. Dia juga bukan pelakon sejati yang mampu mencerahkan masa depan bangsa. Sayang, tindakannya ternyata melebihi kekuasaan optimal seorang raja. Inilah kisah tentang Raja Petruk Belgeduwelbeh.

 

REPUBLIK PETRUK is TEATER KOMA’s 116th production. This play by N. RIANTIARNO is the Third Trilogyof the REPUBLIC SAGA series.

The First of the Trilogy, REPUBLIK BAGONG, was performed as the 95th production, at GBB-TIM, April to May 2001. The Second of the Trilogy, REPUBLIK TOGOG, was performed as the 103rd production at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta (Jakarta Arts Building), July to August 2004.  REPUBLIK PETRUK, will be performed at Graha Bhakti Budaya TAMAN ISMAIL MARZUKI,

January 9th to 25th 2009, starts every 19.30 wib.

 

 

This is a story of an instant leader who in truth does not have the capacity of a leader. Because, he is only a jester whose job is to entertain his master. He is not the ‘Satria Piningit’ who the people are longing for. He is also not a real performer who can illuminate the nation’s future. Alas, his actions moves beyond the authority of a king. This is the story of King Petruk Belgeduwelbeh.

 

 

N. RIANTIARNO, is the Director and RATNA RIANTIARNO, is the Production Manager. 

The play is supported by around 75 artists working as actors-actresses and backstage creators.
